Yeah, I can hear you… I have a very command of the 4 languages I really speak, whether in writing or speaking, but then… when I’m in Madagascar (I’m Malagasy-Mauritian who grew up in 3 different countries) and speak Malagasy, people think I have an accent – not any particular one but an accent. When I’m in Mauritius and speak French, people tell me I have the Malagasy accent and yet when I speak Creole they say I have the French accent… At least so far no one commented on my English 🙂 I guess it’s some personal accent
