To travel is to live

Once said by the Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen:
“To move, to breath, to fly, to float, to gain all while you give, to roam the roads of lands remote: to travel is to live.” – H. C. Andersen, anno 18-something

He was the one who wrote The Snow Queen, The Little Mermaid and The Ugly Duckling among many many others.

I’ve been “featured” — does this mean I win a lava lamp or something??? LOL

Thanks Brice!!! I’m glad you enjoyed it….I showed it to my boss and said, “See…I’m APPRECIATED….can I have a raise?” He laughed. At me. Guess this means I won’t be buying a new car anytime soon.

I like you. I have read all these stories you mentioned. I had a big book in my and my sisters room when we were about 11. I still remember the book. It was light blue and had the drawing of the little girl in a big hand. I think this story is by Andersen, too. It was a translation into German.
