@ Interesting angle…to explore ATCKs’ narratives with that goal. And I like how you can see that a strong commitment between colleagues will reach further and benefit the ones you’re working with.
Just curious… What kind of institution do you work at? (It sounds like a school…but what kind?) 🙂

    @ Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your comment on my bio 🙂 I sure would like to buy your book, but as things are right now I have to wait with buying.
Hey you know what! I’ll ask my university library to buy it! They would be interested. It’s relevant for them to have.

Thanks for your comment on my page, I am glad to hear from you :). Your page is so pretty, well-done :).
I enjoyed reading your well-detailed presentation and I think it’s so cool that you are an “educational anthropologist” specialized in TCKS :). I had an “Introduction to Anthropology” class when I studied in the US last year and…[Read more]

@ Hello Karen, yes I am working towards an EdD in Leadership within a multicultural workplace i.e Dubai. Many of my staff are ATCK’s and I believe that by exploring their narratives I may find common personality traits which will allow us to strengthen our commitment to each other as colleagues. Ultimately, this would benefit the students of my…[Read more]

@ I love your bio—very lively. Thanks for commenting. If you would like to buy the book, I’d be happy to mail you a copy; I make a crush proof mailer for it out of a cereal box. I can sell to you for $20 plus $3 for postage. It’s $25 on Amazon or you can find it in Southeast Asia.

@ Thanks for the response, Preston. That repatriation experience to Canada might have been a pretty challenging one although I am assuming you were really excited to go “home” which probably did not feel like home at all.. and still doesn’t!

Well, my parents were missionaries to Hong Kong for 3 years and to Japan for a total of about 5 and a half…[Read more]

    @ Hi Ruth,

I’ve just read your article “Obama’s ‘Third Culture’ Team”. What an interesting article! Thank you for writing it and thereby giving a sharpened focus on the strengths of TCKs/ATCKs.

The article gives some valuable insights about TCKs and the TCK community. Insights I value, because I study TCKs/ATCKs and the TCK com…[Read more]

@ i play the piano as well as the flute, but mainly the piano…sometimes i find the flute too small in size like the way i am, and sometime people don’t take me serious enough because of that, so i prefer the big and all-so-grand piano : ) x
