I really liked the Korean international students I met there though but culturally I think I had more fun just hanging out with the open-minded American crowd you know?

I had a similar experience with you. In Japan, I was much more comfortable with American kids. I tried out the Korean club but I felt it wasn’t really my cup of tea..and American kids often said to me, “you are like Korean American, not Korean.”
