@ I felt alive and sane. haha. I hope that doesn’t freak you out. There are many resources I can thinking of pointing to you but I want to focus on what your greatest needs are, Abigail.
In terms of study abroad, I have met a TCK who attends college that requires students to study at a partner university for a year. I thought that was interesting…[Read more]

@ Abigail, I understand your concerns about going back when you have these international experiences other American peers may not understand, or cannot fully relate to. I am really glad you are thinking about your path ahead of time because you can develop some ideas beforehand to think about the best available options for you.
While there may not…[Read more] -

@ Hey,
yeh it’s a good thread to read.
The surveying is called hydrographic surveying and a loose definition is using accoustics to make maps of the seabed. It can be very exciting and interesting and sometimes very boring. I work with a company that sends me on different projects all the time. A good job will be on a small boat somewhere awesome…[Read more] -

@ Good!
Best advice? Be prepared. I was very much not. I wasn’t ready to leave, I wasn’t ready to go, I wasn’t ready for anything because I was really caught up about the place I was leaving.
Of course, you’re already a few steps ahead of me by even mentioning it on here.

@ hey thanks – I would love any advice that you have about reentry! 🙂 I’m sure it’s going to be hard for me… but at the same time I’m still excited for my next ‘adventure’. Being in the same city for 7 years makes me want to move somewhere totally new haha.

@ 안녕! 🙂
I would like to hear about your experiences, and get advice from you – I’m pretty nervous about going back, actually. I know it will be hard to be apart from my family, and to readjust to “my culture”, especially feeling like a foreigner on the inside, but looking like I fit in.where did you study abroad?! I really want to – it see…[Read more]

@ hey thanks for the recommendation, I will definitely check out the group 🙂
surveyor at sea? that sounds really interesting – what do you survey, exactly? and where do you go… all over, or do you have a particular bit of ocean you’re assigned to? what do you do when you’re not at sea?

@ Hi Abigail! It looks like you are gong through transitions to college. I have had many ideas about what I wanted to do if I were to enter college and some of those ideas stayed throughout the years and some changed. I would really love to answer any questions you have and give you my best cents, Abigail. Personally studying abroad for a semester…[Read more]
