    @ Hi Miyon
thanks for offering your help. What I think is the main problem here is my daughter’s encounter with the Ecuadorian culture. Specially the school culture, girls are all from a high economical status, surrounded by maids and parents giving them everything they ask.. while my daughter is a missionary kid, very loving, humble and willing…[Read more]

@ Hi Marie, thanks for writing to me, I am an elementary teacher. However it is in Central Asia where I am more able to teach and not in my own country, Ecuador. I have more experience with K-3 grades

    @ Hi Christi!
    Welcome to this website!

It looks like you are a missionary to Cameroon. I am an MK myself and have many MK friends who grew up in Africa. I am really curious but how is Cameroon like?

@ Thanks for adding me! 🙂 I love the idea of producing literature for TCKs. Have you read Here Today There Tomorrow by Elisabeth Parker and Katharine Rumrill-Teece. I just got it on amazon. Anyway, it’s a manual for working with international mobile youth. I think something like this would be awesome.

@ One of the great things is you can choose to live almost anywhere if you work offshore, as they will just fly you to the job. I had to live in Perth for my initial training but was able to move back to Sydney after 9months.

I did a BSc in Marine Biology (Sydney, Australia) and a master’s in Hydrography (Plymouth, UK). When I graduated I had…[Read more]

    @ Hi Olivia!
    I wanted to say hello!
I have a feeling you’ve commented on the old TCKID.com/group
Am I mistaken? I thought it’s so cool to meet a member from the TCKID website!

@ Oh cool! Where did you live before coming to China? How do you like your school and the lifestyle there so far?

@ hi! 🙂 oh thanks! I stumbled upon it today, and really liked it, as well… not that I don’t love reading, but because all the knowledge in the world is a waste, if you don’t do something selfless with it. It’s a good reminder to me, as a student – that I’m learning for a purpose, and that I can be making a difference right now, not just when…[Read more]

@ I didn’t grow up in China but I spent a good deal of time in Shanghai and Beijing. I’d like to be in either place to improve my Mandarin, then I want to work in the rural areas helping spur development. Otherwise, for grad school, applying to Cornell, Columbia, NYU, U Penn, Harvard, Stanford, UW, U Hawaii, U Michigan, and U Virginia.
