@ Welcome, Lora! My mother’s best friend, and a woman I very much admired, was Vietnamese–Jacqueline (Anderson) Thimm. She wrote and spoke 11 languages, fluently! Sadly, she passed away last year from cancer. I also thought she was one of the most beautiful women I had ever met–inside and out.
In addition, two of my favorite people are Pat and…[Read more]

@ Hi, Abigail. So you are Dr. Pollock’s grand daughter! I remember calling your grand father’s office when I was in graduate school for my research. But unfortunately he was out of the country. πŸ™

    @ Thanks for sharing Seo-young

I know it takes time to develop more love for oneself…
even if you cant’ accept yourself as much as you wish to, don’t force yourself as I tried many times..
and sometimes setting a time just to spend with you helps Seo-young.. like a little mini date with yourself. πŸ™‚

@ Hehehe I went through serious identity crisis at teenage time
It became much better as I realized that friends and family like/love me
and I discovered more and more about TCK
It scarred my confidence and hurted some (or even lots of them?) ppl
I’m still working on figuring out where I belong and trying to love myself more

@ aw i am sorry to hear that some friends think you are funny..
i know people can be kind of.. offensive at times.. dont u feel that way with people who judge you?

i think acceptance without judgments is something that takes a lot of courage and learning for a lot of us – this includes myself. But then it is when we are misunderstood or made fun…[Read more]
