@ Hi Shaheema, I actually do remember your name from the old TCKID website 🙂
I was very involved in the old one until it was attacked and had to go through a transition.Woo…Very cool! You grew up in Hong Kong and Japan as well?
It’s not a dumb question at all. I honestly can’t really answer that question because when I lived in Hong Kong for…[Read more] -

@ Oh wow, that is so cool! You went to RVA!
You know… I don’t personally know him but I met Dr. Daniel Tolan when he came to the Global Health Missions Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. He spoke at a booth and also gave a seminar which was really powerful.
I am friends with Korean MKs including Esther Im, Hye-yeon Cho, and Sam Kang, who…[Read more]

@ Thank you so much for the warm-hearted words!
I am really thankful for Brice Royer and other starting members of the original TCKID website, including Ayako Nakamura, Daniel Nguyen, Cynthia Yang, amongst others that are not mentioned, and the current committee member of the TCKID Daniela Tudor. It’s just so amazing how many TCKs tried their…[Read more]

@ Hi there! I saw your post on Miyon’s wall about English being a global language. I think that is so true! In fact I keep talking to my friends about it all the time, but they keep zoning out. Lol. I think in less than ten years almost everyone on this planet will be speaking English, especially because of the internet and how it’s shrinking the…[Read more]

@ Hey there… My first commenter! 😀 Thanks for welcoming me. I was part of the (old?) TCK site, tckid.com, so I was invited here, and it looks so cool! Very Facebook-like. I love writing! And I do have a blog, though I should post in it more often. It’s mostly about my TCK experiences, and about the Indian experience. I see you were in Hong Kong…[Read more]

@ Thank you so much miyon. I am a lot older than many of the people I’ve seen on these sites in the last few days — no one talked about TCK as an identifier/group when I returned to the States (early 80’s). for so many years, I have lived in a very painful vacuum. I envy the younger generation its’ “hip” and flexible attitude…I also admire the…[Read more]

@ Miyon –
I did go to RVA…graduated back in 1978. We prob know some of the same people!Oh shoot – I just blew my story. I was gonna tell you had my daughters when I was, like, 12 and I’m really NOT turning 50 this year! But now that you know when I graduated I have to own up to the truth! That soft blurr filter on the camera takes years off…[Read more]

@ Hi Miyon!
It’s nice to meet you 🙂 I like how on your profile you mentioned that you “hope to contribute in bringing unity amongst people despite differences.” I want to do the same thing in my life-I feel like it’s my calling, so to speak! -

@ Hi Brenda,
it’s so cool that you grew up in Tanzania and Kenya, and also adult years in Singapore!
I have an MK friend who grew up in Tanzania and Kenya as well. I think she told me she also lived in Ethiopia 🙂 Did you go to RVA by any chance, Brenda? I know many people who went there ^_^To answer your question, my parents did ministry in…[Read more]

@ Hi Miyon! I grew up in Tanzania and Kenya during my early days. Also lived in Singapore during my early adult years. (for just a couple of years.) Operation Mobilization is a great group – really appreciate how much they care about the people they send. Where did you spend your growing up years?

@ Hi Rachel,
I think your story is very interesting. It looks like you were raised in Nigeria while you also traveled to Wales.. I think it’s someone like you who are raised in a cross-cultural family and also have experiences in various other cultures that can be the advocate for the diverse community.
It’s nice to meet you and warm welcome to…[Read more] -

@ Hi, Brenda. Your profile caught my attention because you are a marriage and family therapist. I have Ed.S in Marriage and Family Therapy but I have not taken exam yet for several reasons. 🙁 I hope to take exam soon and be a licensed marriage and family therapist. I also know about Operation Mobilization because George Verwer came to my…[Read more]

@ Hi Mathew,
It’s so nice to see another fellow Japanese TCK hehe 🙂
We should change the definition of who is Japanese because we may on the outside look white/black/orange/green (like Shrek) but the inside matters!Ikoma.. ohh.. I’ve lived in Shinjuku and Takasaki amongst many places. 🙂
