@ Hi Teresa! I thought your name sounded familiar. I think I left a comment under one of your posts in the old TCKid.com. I don’t know if you ever got to read it but I’m also a graduated engineer (bachelor’s only though) from UofI 🙂 I actually just left a message yesterday in your post about entry-level technical job in regards to having a TCK…[Read more]

@ Hi Andre, saw your entry on The Office discussion board.
Not an answer to your q, but I feel a lot of sympathy for what you are feeling now, since I too majored in Politics. Whole lot of international organizations usually want interns for undergraduates, and actually hire someone with MA, PhD degree and/or years of experience in the field. Boy…[Read more]

@ Dear Ms Watanabe,
My parents led the Liebenzell Mission student dormitory in Nakanoshima until 1993. They would probably know your American friend. There was a lot of contact between the different Christian missionaries. The dorm was very close to the Nakanoshima railway station (Nambu sen), but it got closed recently.

@ Hi, Simon. You have an interesting background. My American friend was a missionary in Kawasaki. I believe her cousin and his wife is still serving for a church in Kawasaki.

@ No British Dramas, Perhaps you could try doing a search online and watching them over the internet. Not ideal but could be possible.
Hope you find something.

@ Hi Jelena, thanks for sharing a little about yourself on this site. I grew up in West Africa, Nigeria until I was 14 and know something of the feelings of not fitting in whichever country you live in. Being white I stood out a mile in Nigeria but I suppose to some extent you get used to being different. Coming to England I often got racist…[Read more]
