@ what was your experience like? Was it positive? Was it hard to adjust? I’m an MK mom (missionary kids) and we are writing a book in Portuguese about the TCK experience.I live in BH

@ Hi…you asked me a million years ago if I’m an MK. No, I’m not! My dad went to study in the UK, and that’s how I became a TCK 🙂

Read more]

@ DUTCH BLITZ IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!! I’ve never met anyone else (besides the person the taught me how to play) that loves/plays the game!! May I ask how you learned it? 🙂 And do you like any other board/card games? I’m constantly looking for new ones to play with friends and family. So far Rook, Apples To Apples, and D.B. are the favorites 🙂

    @ Hey girl!
By the way, wanted to let you know that I don’t have a facebook, and I know it’s probably going to be an extra pain, but if you could post the when and where’s of meetings on tckid too, that would rock 🙂 Thanks!

@ Hi Myra! Thanks for the invite and I’m so excited that there’s a group for San Antonio; thanks for posting that. Yay! I’d love to meet you some time; from our profiles I think we have a lot in common 🙂 How long have you played guitar, what did you major in when you went to college (I’m considering working in non-profits), and when did…[Read more]

    @ Hi Thomas!
    My name is Enshu Miura.
I was born in China, grew up in Japan and studied painting and education in Sydney.
It’s nice to know TCK artists! I am very curious about your art works…

    @ Hi there!

I don’t know if you’re currently in San Antonio, but Myra D is trying to create a local group in San Antonio. (It’s short notice, but some people and myself are going to meet her this Saturday to talk about this).  If you’d like to join in at any time, or see if a group is formed, just let me or Myra know!

    Thanks!

@ Hey thanks a lot Miyon. Will definitely try and do that. You seem to have lived in a lot of places yourself 🙂

  • posted an update 14 years, 5 months ago

@ Miyon, thanks for your thoughts. Please note that I am not knew to TCKid, TCK stuff or to MK stuff. The ONLY reason I signed up again (which makes me LOOK new), is because I couldn’t get my password to work & needed to request a new one. Apparently, requesting a new password ends up adding you as a new TCKid member.

    @ Hi Manisha,
    welcome aboard to my.tckid!

I see that you’ve lived in Africa and Southeast Asia. I hope you will find ways to utilize your skills from living in combination of amazing regions!

    @ Hi Debra,
    welcome aboard!
you will find many TCK groups by interests/age, etc.
I see that you are a missionary kid! I am too! You can connect with other mks through the MK Group, if you are interested.

I see that you belong to FIGT. Awesome. I’ve never been to one of the conferences but I am aware of the research that helps us TCKs 🙂

@ Wow, I didn’t realize there were that many languages spoken there. Which language do you yourself use most frequently?? By the way…please excuse me but I am very interested in your name – it seems kinda of long, is there a story behind it? Tim
