@ Hi Susan,
That’s great and really interesting. The next project I’ll be on will be on natural hydrocarbon seepage. But I’ll be working with Geoscience Australia so we should keep in touch and perhaps have some kind of collaboration in the future.
Good luck with the phd, it sounds perfect. You’ll get some multibeam experience too, so that will…[Read more] -

@ Hello Olivia – Good to hear that you could get a job with better living conditions. I did end up applying to Marine Geology PhD programs in the end. I’ve just accepted an offer to go to Oregon State University on the west coast of the US. They have a big oceanography department and a marine management program. But thanks for the compliment on my website – should hopefully be improving it if not updating it with new works over the summer vacation! 🙂 I see…[Read more]

@ Hi Anthony, and Welcome-
It is pretty quiet around here…..for me, it’s about making the time to connect and comment in the midst of this thang called my daily life. Maybe it will take a writer like you to stir things up! Glad you’re on board!

What ship? About 20 years ago I worked on rehabilitating a ship that became a missionary ship that traveled around the world spreading the gospel. I can’t remember the name of it now. It was docked in San Pedro CA at the time and I and a bunch of friends from my kirk went there (from San Diego) and did stuff like cleanin…[Read more] -

@ Steve- When did you live in Taipei? My best friend, who I met after Iran, lived there for a year in about ’74 or so. Her name was Pamela Smith. Her dad was the principal at TAS (Taipei American School, not Tehran American School). His name was Dick Smith. Ring a bell?

Of course, different states in the United States have their own unique and certain cultural background. I do believe that but that’s not so obvious as to compare to that of in overseas where there is majority, such as Indians in Indian, Chinese i…[Read more] -
