    @ Hola Sofia
Dónde viviste en España…[Read more]

@ haha funny pilots… We folow procedures such as “fly over there just in case you have an emergency etc” but we are not supposed to tell that to the passengers. He was probably messing with you. 🙂

    @ Hi Jonathan!
Thanks very much for your sweet comment; it’s lovely to hear from a fellow TCK. Actually, the Wind-up Bird Chronicle happens to be the only one I haven’t read by Murakami yet – I just bought it and am reading it now, haha. Have you read his magnum opus, 1Q84?
I would LOVE to read your mystery novel. My entire artistic practice is…[Read more]

@ I am Swedish, born in Japan, grew up in Asia, lived in Europe when raising kids, but now live in Brisvegas with my Canadian partner (we are both alumni of the same International School). The bridge in the background is the Golden Gate, went there recently to meet up with alumni from the same school. We have 7 nationalities in my immediate family…[Read more]

@ that’s funny! I’m imagining you in either a Cessna or a 767. Either way, the plane’s probably gonna land just fine and I don’t have to grab the parachutes! 🙂 I remember a flight I took on Merpati in Indonesia once. I really thought I was going to die. The pilot said he flies out over the water “just in case we crash.” The cabin doors were open…[Read more]

@ Your English is great, are you kidding me! My Korean is non-existent. Well, let me know if you ever want to share anything. I’m a huge reader. It’s great to meet you! I’m always lost between languages, too. 🙂

@ Hi:) Well… I mostly write short stories in Korean, and recently began to write down my TCK experience in English. The tone’s too serious for the moment haha. I may take some to FIGT this month but they are only rough drafts… My English is bad o_o Wow and e-book! That’s cool.

    @ Hey Eric,
I have some good friends who are ex-Navy Seals (as adults). I’m MK (no longer with religious affiliation). I find we have a lot in common with all the travelling and moving etc. Wanted to say hey and welcome to the site. Is that pic taken in Texas? Pretty amazing scenery. I’ve lived mainly in Oregon and it’s reminiscent of eastern…[Read more]

    @ Hi Suzie,
What bridge is that in the picture? My dad’s from Brisbane and I’m Aussie-US mix, grew up in Asia as an TCK/nomad. It’s good not to answer that last question!
I’m a writer, so if you are interested in a novel about global nomad issues (no idea if you’d have time to read anything), then let me know.
    Welcome here.

    @ Hi Valerie,
Welcome to TCKid! Just want to say hey. I got major griefs about a TCK upbringing (for me in Asia) as well. I’ve actually written them into an e-book novel. As a physician, I’m not sure you have a lot of time to read silly mystery/thriller novels about us, but if you’re interested let me know and I can pass on the info! 🙂 It is a…[Read more]

    @ Hey James,
What an interesting combo! I’m Aussie-American born in Thailand and raised in Malaysia. Kinda similar stuff. I’ll follow your identity crisis for sure. How can we become facebook friends? You can follow my identity crisis by checking out my new e-book on TCK/global nomad stuff. 🙂 It’s called Nobody’s Children by J. Celan Smith at s…[Read more]

    @ Hi Hannah,
I’m Aussie-American, grew up in Asia with time in Indonesia. My uncle is Don Richardson, if you know him of Irian Jaya fame. Anyway, love to hear about your experience in PNG since it’s a place I’m desperate to visit. I hear it’s a bit dangerous. True?
    Welcome to the site.

    @ Joey,
Love Murakami and Miyazaki! Wind up bird chronicles is my favorite of the former. Thanks for those other names, too, I’ll check them out. I’m a writer myself and just published a mystery novel on TCK experience that you might be interested in. It deals a lot with art and communism as well as global nomad stuff. If you are, let me know and…[Read more]

    @ Hi Dale,
Sounds like you’re doing great work. My parents know people with New Tribes down there. They were in Asia for 20 years (my parents). I’ve actually just written an e-book novel (whose perspective you may or may not be interested in) about the experience of being an MK at boarding school. It actually gives multiple perspectives, one pos…[Read more]

    @ AllieMoh,
Can you point me towards your writings? I’d love to check ’em out. I write and edit myself. Lived in the East Village for a year and spent good time in London, along with all my Asian background stuff.
Anyway, I’ve just e-booked a novel about TCK issues (it ended up being a mystery/thriller with romance driving toward a love and crime…[Read more]

    @ Cerine, Hi.
Amateur writer! Me, too! Grew up in Malaysia and Thailand, but know lots of people associated with S. Korea (not so much Poland). I’d love to be introduced to your writing, and vice versa. I’ve just published an e-book related to TCK/nomadic experience with a focus on adjustment issues and private school stuff. Please share, if you…[Read more]

    @ Andrea,
You ARE funny. Sarcasm is the hardest language to learn! I try to limit speaking it except to my closest friends.
If you’re interested in an e-book novel about growing up MK in Malaysia (or anywhere) and you don’t mind the insertion of some critical stuff about that experience and missions, let me know. I’ve just written published it a…[Read more]

    @ Shino,
Professor of what? (if I may be so bold) I have been as well, of Religion and Classics at Emory in ATL, although now I’m just a writer. MK experience will always be a huge influence. I have a couple good MK friends from South Africa.
