@ Hi Silvia,
I’m a TCK from Thailand and Malaysia who is from Brisbane! Wow. Welcome to the site. It must be tough being a TCK parent. I can’t imagine since I’m still struggling with lots of those moving and adjustment issues myself. I’ve even written a novel about it (although it’s about boarding school effects as much as global nomad effects on…[Read more] -

@ Israa,
You have an awesome customized page! Welcome to TCKid. I remember doing a project at my boarding school in Malaysia on Kuwait. Love to hear you talk some about that. Anyway, noticed you have done counseling for abuse. I just did an e-book novel that deals with abuse (not all of it, but it drives the plot along with other TCK/global n…[Read more] -

@ Hi Luana,
I spent a year in Spain, but alas no fluency since I was teaching English all the time and hanging out with ex-pats (my bad). Anyway, welcome to here.

@ Hannah,
Singapore’s a pretty cool place, eh? Or not so much for you? I grew up in Asia and spent lots of time in Singapore as a kid. Hectic time. My mom’s Swedish-American and got roped into being a missionary over in Thailand. Anyway, just wanted to say hey and welcome you here. I’m new myself, but I figure I should get off my introverted b…[Read more] -

@ Sofia,
I lived in Spain for a year as one of those stupid English teachers. Grew up in Asia and Australia though.
Welcome to TCKid! That’s amazing that you’re a pilot! Big or small planes? Good on ya anyway. Just wanted to say hey.

@ Yirae,
I’m a total introvert as well. A writer (spend how many hours alone doing that with my head down! :)) I see you lived in Portland! Sweet, me, too. Grew up in Thailand and Malaysia and Australia mainly though. Love to hear you talk about Uzbekistan and Kazaghstan. Welcome to TCKid (I’m new, too.)

@ Hi Mary Ann,
You know some of the Asian countries I do! I’m new here as well, trying to make friends. Like you, I’m creative (good affinity between photography and writing, I think). Must be hard and wonderful both to be a TCK parent. As an MK/TCK, I still struggle a bit with all the adjustment stuff (have written it into an e-book recently…[Read more] -

@ Welcome to TCKid, Nihal,
I’m new, too, so it’s kinda funny. Anyway, I actually lived in Indonesia for some time (on Java with trips to Sumatra), but mainly I was in Thailand and Malaysia. I’m curious what it’s like to be a diplomat’s child. Amazing? Crazy? Disorienting? Hard? How’s your experience been? Anyway, just wanted to say hey.

@ Brilliant! A suitcase! Ha ha, best answer yet. Me too, only in Asia mainly. Your work with youth empowerment sounds incredible. Congrats on all those achievements. I’m a writer/editor/creator, too. Just did an e-book novel on the TCK/global nomad experience from an MK and military brat perspective. Welcome to the site.

@ Hi Andee! Welcome to TCKid. Just wanted to say hi. I’m an MK/TCK from Thailand and Malaysia with tons of friends from Japan. Studied psychology, too! 🙂 Had lots to deal with from upbringing (it’s written in a book now), but I think I’m over it now. It’s a tough job being a parent of a TCK, I’m sure.

@ Hey Rene,
Welcome to TCKid. I’m new here too. Noticed you lived in Bangkok and Singapore. Moi aussi. I bounced around as an MK all over Asia and Australia. I didn’t list everywhere. :) One of my good friends is from South Africa. Just wanted to say hey.

@ What a beautiful hectic journey you’ve had as a youth! I’ve dreamt of going to Afghanistan, and your comments make me want to even more. And great for the Med school thing! I gave up on my Ph.D. to concentrate on writing more than teaching. I’m an Aussie-American born in Thailand, school in Malaysia, moved every 4-6 months back and forth from…[Read more]

@ Hi Wendy
Thank you for your message. I am sorry about my English. It is not my first language and I don’t use it too much!
I am taking a Master Degree in Phsycotherapy and Counselling. My research is about resil
I came here because I need adult TCKs (with American passport) who have lived in countries where Portuguese is the oficial language.
