    @ Hey Miyon,

Well, I have to say that the background of TCKs and CCKs are pretty different, but the final feeling experience is very similar. At least, it is what I’ve been able to conclude after having read lot about TCK… Although I’m not a “typical” TCK, I can share 90% if no more of TCKs’ strengh and weekness, and I guess that is why I can…[Read more]

    @ Hi Elizabeth,

Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm actually the TCK (growing up in rural French villages from age 3 to 6). My youngest son (age 26–temporarily living in Bath) has lived for short periods in Japan and China and has been encouraged to think like a TCK (as a psychologist, I was familiar with TCKness before he was born), but he did not live with me outside the…[Read more]

    @ Hi Victoria,
I commented on the Christian TCK group about finding other TCKs in Australia.. and I wanted to write in addition to that ๐Ÿ™‚

Brice created this Facebook Group for TCKs in Australia a while ago and I thought it would be nice to check it out! But it might be easier to connect with other 40+ TCKs right on this site because you can…[Read more]

@ I do agree Rahul. There’s so much beauty to meeting different people and learning about a culture other than your own. It adds so much to the way we experience humanity, how we relate to another human being.. how we influence and are also influenced by them ๐Ÿ™‚ And I find that so beautiful.

Aw.. your son is embracing the Korean culture? I think…[Read more]

    @ Hi Ashley,
I do agree with you that whereever we go, we see “humanity” in other people.. that we are all human after all– raise family, seek securities, etc. and we are somehow interconnected ^_^

To answer your question, I’ve been living in Illinois for the past 9 years and I lived in Chicago area specifically for high school (for 4 years),…[Read more]

@ Hi Joshua! It’s pretty cool you worked as an English teacher for 6 years! Yes, it would be pretty fun to talk about your experience!

P.S. I saw your tagline and I did hear my Asian American friends talk about bananas, twinkies, etc to refer themselves or others, but oh well.. for some time I was a F.O.B. hehe

    @ Hi Remy,
    Thank you for the comment!
Aw.. so you consider yourself more of a CCK than a TCK?
I feel bad that I tend to make this distinction… We are after all all human being and using terms may cause more divide but union >_<

You are definitely correctly in that my parents are from Korea! because they are Kim’s. And yes, Lee, Choi, Park, and…[Read more]

@ Hi Georgia! Welcome to TCKID
I too felt like I couldn’t fit in one culture or the other, or any of the cultures I was exposed to/grew up in, but I am so incredibly thankful that I met many TCKs on this site that understand me and I also found a sense of belonging with fellow TCKs because of our shared experience of living the mobile lifestlye…[Read more]

    @ Hi Peter!
It’s very cool you get to travel as a pilot! As TCKs I know many of us feel like there is so much more to see in this world. And a new experience else where is an advanture ๐Ÿ™‚

@ I have been looking for TCKs in Maine and am glad I found someone! You say you have children who are TCKs? What are there ages? (If you don’t mind my asking) It would be great to meet your children if they are my age, to have a TCK as close as Bath!

@ So you are a TCKA? It dose not show how old you are so i do not know but it says you are teacher aka you have a job so I am just making an assumption. Do you have children? If you do, are they TCKs?

    Please reply,

@ I haven’t lived in America in a long time, but the thing that always sticks out is that America is the land of variety, of choice. Even when you go into a Wal-Mart, or a bookstore, it’s just amazing how many selections you have. But American life is like that too, on a daily basis you have every color of the rainbow walking down the street.…[Read more]
