    @ Hi Tim,
You’ll surprise to see how multi-lingual a Malaysian is. The official language is Malay.  However, there are four major races, Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Eurasian in Malaysia.  Most of the people here can speak at least 2 languages, mainly Malay and English, or and above!  Many Chinese can fluently speak 3 languages and at least…[Read more]

@ I haven’t been to Shanghai, but it has always been my dream of visiting the city.  It’s because, my mom was a missionary there, way back to 1945-47 and that was her dream came truth.  Lately, I’m sort of “miss” that place, especially the North Gate Baptist Church in Shanghai where my mom first served in China…. I’ve heard that the Church has…[Read more]

    @ Dear Georgia,
Thanks for adding me as friend!
I have spend 10 years in Shanghai, and another 10 years in Japan.
Personally Shanghai is such a special place…
One of the reasons is the huge number of expatriates and their families including TCKs living there.
Unfortunately I don’t speak Shanghainese… but I kind of understand it, not through my…[Read more]

    @ Dear Judy,

My husband, Rosifran is Brazilian, and we are currently the directors of WEC Brazil. Before that we worked with a missionary training college in the north of Minas Gerais, w…[Read more]

    @ Hi John,
I have to say that I am really intrigued by your “where are you from” question. In the past, I have often answered that question in the same way; even though I can’t even speak Burmese.
I am really happy to hear of someone else who has lived in Myanmar.
Hope to hear back from you soon!

    @ Josh,

I am a mental health therapist in Denver, Co. Ruth Van Reken mentioned that you are putting together a referral list? I would like to know more about that. I just asked you to be my friend here on TCKid, so you can look at my profile.

@ Hi Ruth! Nice to hear from you. Nancy Duvall (you may know her) lent me a copy of your book. She actually had a copy of both titles and I chose the one with the original title because it somehow felt purer and unadulterated by the publishers. 🙂 I read it a couple months ago. Well, I have a strong interest in member care for missionaries, so I…[Read more]
