@ Very cool! I don’t actually live in DC, but its my ‘base’. I’m here for another week and will be back in December, I think. Nonetheless, I’d love to do one of those DC meets!

I tried clicking on your link, but it takes me to some person’s page and not a group. Is it the right one? -

@ Nice to hear from you.
Sorry if my page is misleading; although due to my Dad’s job I lived in 4 countries before high school and lived a couple years in Africa as an adult, I was only in Quito for 3 months focusing on Spanish immersion.  That said, I really loved Quito–the moderate climate, lively parks and relative diversity–and liked w…[Read more] -

@ Hey, Ben! It’s good to hear from you. I asked my brother who has an Indonesian friend. I’ll get back to you on that one so that we can make sure you have some authentic Indonesian food that weekend :). What you said was interesting about Indonesia being an island country, hence being less acculturated. I never thought of it this way. I’ll get…[Read more]

@ Hi Harinda! Thanks for writing back. I’m so sorry it took me forever to write back, I lost track of my password, haha! Actually, there is a group for DC TCKers on Facebook. It’s: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=700220644&ref=ts#!/groups/38855727722/. It’s definitely a way to get in touch with local TCKers. I think there was an event last…[Read more]

@ Hello Derek. How did you like Quito, Ecuador? I was partially raised there. How long ago did you repatriate?

@ Hi Ibtihal, Indonesia is definitely an interesting country. Being an island country has kept it’s many cultures from mixing to a great extent I feel so there are huge differences among the various people groups. And yes, their cuisine is great :-) Somewhat similar to Thai food I’d say. Speaking of Indonesian food, do you know of any go…[Read more]

@ So it sounds like your “home” is somewhere there? Ohh I want to visit so many more countries, but I have the feeling that I don’t have enough time haha.ÂÂ
It was indeed very intersting to work with those refugees, its so rare that you get first hand informations and its so very different from the news most people watch on TV. But I don’t have t…[Read more] -

@ Hey Geraldine! How is it in Australia? How long have you lived there and out of your countries what made you choose to live there?
ÂÂ
It’s definitely been on my mind to think about moving to Australia. I know it’s one of the more popular places these days. 🙂 - Load More
