@ Hi, Susie,
Thank you for your kindness. I’m sorry it has taken me forever to get back into MyTckid–first I forgot my password, then life got–well, you know what it’s like. . . I miss my brother constantly, but I have wonderful memories of him, and he’s in our hearts forever.
Hope you are well! –Rachel -

@ Hi Miyon!,
Not sure if we can really compare myself with Brice, as I’m more of a CCK than a TCK, although it is true there is some similarities π
I haven’t been active on TCKid.com recently (busy life…) so I haven’t really had the chance to talk to Brice yet, but I plan to be more active around. TCKids.com was a relief when I discovered it…[Read more] -

@ Hi Sijing,
I’m new to TCKid too, but I’d love talking to you. Which part of YunNan did you live in? I’ve lived in Kunming for the past 10 years so I have a special interest. -

@ Hey Miyon!
Thanks for being so friendly. As you’ve lived in Asia, then you probably know outside of English, there aren’t so many options for teaching. At least it’s this way in China. I’ve been teaching English for six years to almost any age that wants it. I’d be happy to talk about it sometime. -

@ Hello Alexandra!
I see you’ve lived in Burma! If I may ask, when so, and what were you there for?
Have a good day! Cheers,

@ Hi Miyon!
Lol yeah their pizza is pretty good. Do you like Chicago? How long have you lived there?
Yeah, the U.S. and the Middle East seem almost like completely different planets at times. The cultures, everything is so different. At other times though, our humanity connects us. Most of them are just “regular people” like us, trying to get a…[Read more] -

@ Thanks for your comment, Miyon. Even though I have lived and worked for a considerable amount of time in Korea (6 years to be precise), I still don’t think I can call myself a third-culture kid (TCK). My son was born in India, but he is now embracing the Korean culture from last 3 years. I am sure he can be considered as a good fit for TCK. But…[Read more]

You will find many other military brats and missionary kids on this social networking site. I am an MK myself and when I was young my parents did missions in Hong Kong for three years.I see that you are a teacher. Would you mind me asking what subject you teach?

@ Hi Ashley,
it’s nice meeting you. I guess Chicago’s pizza is pretty famous hehe.
Aw.. I didn’t expect you would have spent most of your life in Saudi Arabia π
I have never been to the Middle East but from what I hear and learn about the Middle East, I feel drawn to the innocence I cannot otherwise find in the U.S. and some other first world…[Read more] -

@ Hi Remy,
I came across your comment on the ChristianTCKs page. I see many similarities between you and Brice, the founder of TCKID. Have you gotten a chance to talk to him yet?
He is half Ethiopian half French/Vietnamese and speaks French and English fluently and speaks some Japanese π -

Thanks for accepting the friend-invite and for the reassurance π I’m glad you’re feeling a bit more stable; itΓ’β¬β’s always nice to have people around that you know, especially family. And sisters rock! Is your sister older or younger? I have one older sister, but we’re only 14 months apart and act like twins because of it π

@ Hi Susie,
Thanks! I work at Uni of Adelaide. I haven’t met many TCK’s here yet. I’m sure there is a bunch of us though, it’d be great to meet them and have a catch up group! Do you know many of them? I did meet a whole party of South African parents of young TCK’s yesterday at a bbq yesterday. Felt like a fresh breeze! Some of them may be TCKs…[Read more] - Load More
